From Page to Stage: Making The Mountaintop

February 21, 2015 at 1 PM
VENUE: Backstage Lounge (next to the Granville Island Stage)

Playwright Katori Hall was born 13 years after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the subject of her Olivier Award–winning play, The Mountaintop. So why King, why now, and why in the theatre? Join Assistant Director Chelsea Haberlin in conversation with Arts Club Literary Assistant Rae Steinberg to learn about the process of bringing King to life on stage, and what the artistic team learned along the way about King, his legacy, and the power of live performance. Members of the audience will be invited to ask questions in a Q&A following the talk. The chat is open to both ticketholders and members of the general public.

Admission: FREE
Tickets to The Mountaintop start at $29 and are available online or by calling 604.687.1644.
